Special Worship & Special Events Timeline
We celebrate several special services throughout the liturgical calendar year.
Wednesday Advent Service: Evening program that includes a potluck soup supper followed by worship service.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Join us for special music followed by Christmas Eve worship.
Ash Wednesday: Evening worship that marks the beginning of Lent season.
Wednesday Lent Service: Evening program that includes a potluck soup supper followed by worship service.
Palm Sunday: traditional palm-waving service held on Sunday before Easter.
Maunday Thursday: Holy Communion service held on Thursday before Easter Sunday.
Good Friday: Solemn service held on Friday before Easter Sunday.
Easter Sunrise Service: Ecumenical worship at Boulder Reservoir.
Easter Sunday Service: Worship at Shepherd, followed by brunch and egg hunt.
Holy Pentecost Sunday: celebrated 40 days after Easter.
Ryssby Worship Service: Summer worship held at the historic Swedish Lutheran Ryssby Church. After worship we gather on the church grounds for a potluck picnic.

Blessing of Our Comings & Goings - First Sunday after Labor Day: We renew our promise to help children & adults growth in faith.
The Blessing of the Animals - First Sunday in October: In honor of Francis of Assisi, pets are welcome to a service that includes a special blessing.
Consecration Sunday - mid October: We confirm our committment to our congregation and celebrate with a luncheon after worship.
Reformation Sunday - Last Sunday in October: Commemorates Martin Luther's Ninety-five Theses and the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.
This year, October 31st, 2017 marks the 500th Anniversary of Reformation.
